Chambray and white is such a crisp, classic American summer combo that it’s hard to ever go wrong with this combo. On days I’m not feeling my best (or fittest) I tend to throw a button-down shirt over a dress (that may otherwise hug me in all the wrong places) and tie it at the waist. It gives just the right amount of coverage while still keeping the look appropriately fem and giving you a nice shape.
If you’ve followed some of my posts, you may be noticing I’m partial to wedges– any kind of wedge– espadrilles, cork, wooden, leather, whatever. They.are.just.so.comfortable. while still wearing a ‘heel’. And the nude elastic makes these super-easy to walk in while keeping the leg looking long and not cutting it off at the ankle.
Dress (worn underneath): Ralph Lauren Rugby (old, but similar here, here and here). Chambray button-down shirt: The Gap (similar here, here and here). Espadrilles: Jean-Michel Cazabat (similar here, here, here, here and here). Clutch: J.Crew (similar here). Sunglasses: Gucci.
